Consider how many video games have been released, even just for one console. Now think about how many *didn’t* get released. Our guest this week has been thinking about that for a long time. Frank Gasking has been running Games That Weren’t for more than 20 years; it’s a website dedicated to finding and preserving games that never quite made it to the finish line. Though the website began specifically centred around Commodore 64 games, the community has grown, along with the subject matter. Frank’s recently released a The Games That Weren’t book that covers 80 different games, spanning 40 years of video game history, and a variety of platforms. You can order the book from publisher Bitmap Books here.
